Overall reliability

Terrific build quality, and bullet-proof V6 engine. A perfect sunny day cruiser.

No body rust after 15 years is a testament to the galvanised body treatment, and the engine has to be one of the smoothest units around, with a lovely exhaust note when pushed.
The original exhaust system itself is still going strong at 120,000 miles. Where else would you find that?
The only thing that has gone wrong in the 8 years I have owned it, is the power roof started to be very slow to operate.
This turned out to be due (as is apparently often the truth) to the failure of the plastic hydraulic reservoir for the hood mechanism, located in the right had side of the boot, in an almost inaccesible position behind body structure. The plastic cracks, and fluid under pressure oozes oout into the boot.
To save yourself even more grief, remove the petrol tank to get at it. You will benefit in the long run, and the component tank itself is a cheap fix.
