Where can I get an exhaust for a 1994 Honda Accord?
I have owned my low mileage 1994 Honda Accord MkIV 2.0 manual coupe for more than 11 years and it has been very reliable and enjoyable. The only problem has been an increasing difficultly in finding replacement parts.
I renewed the back box about 9 years ago, but the middle section is now rusting through in a number of places, which means that both exhaust sections will require replacement. I managed to patch it up (again) for an MoT last week and passed with one advisory for a very small leak near the flange between the 2 sections (which was difficult to seal). All my local exhaust fitters inform me that their suppliers no longer stock these units, partly because there are so few of these models on the road and it's now uneconomic to manufacture and stock exhausts for such rare cars. I suspect that there might still be 1 or 2 units somewhere, but the problem is locating them. Another option would be to consider a stainless steel alternative.
I assume that there are companies that would manufacture one to order, either from the Honda dimensions or from inspecting the car. I would be very interested in any suggestions or recommendations that you may have.

Sadly, it's getting very hard to find parts for some cars from this era, but if you do opt for a stainless steel system then you won't have source one ever again, as the unit should last the life of the car. We're only speaking from personal experience and it's not a wholesale recommendation but we did receive excellent service for a custom-made unit from Powerflow Exhausts in Peterborough www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk who will ship worldwide.
