Poor quality, unreliable, dreadful car

Mine was a company car issued to me new in 1987. Front tyres, exhaust system and battery were all worn out between 10000-14000 miles and had to be replaced, The tyre wear was said to have been because the allignment of cars leaving the factory was wrong. Car was in and out the main dealer with water leaks around the rear lights, tailgate and window. The pushrod engine was noisy on the motorway whilst revving itself to an early grave because Ford fitted only a 4 speed gearbox. The engine lacked torque and guzzled petrol. The ground clearance was poor and the suspension travel anadequate- it regularly hit its bumpstops.
The only good points were the high seating position ,good visibility dashboard illumination and the stereo system.
Each time the car was in the main dealer for repairs I was loaned a 1.6L Orion-a far superior car.
