Budget 2015: Road tax frozen for pre-2001 classics
Published 18 March 2015
Owners of pre-2001 classics won't have to pay any more on their road tax for 2015-16.
The freeze on Vehicle Excise Duty for cars registered before 1 March, 2001 is part of the Budget.
It means that owners of cars with engines up to an including 1549cc will go from paying £140 to £145 for the 2014-15 tax year.
While drivers of vehicles with engines larger than 1549cc will go from paying £225 to £230.
However, VED rates for 2015-16 will stay the same.
