Ferraris set to shine as Salon Privé adds second marque-specific concours
Prestigious UK-based motoring event Salon Privé is to break new ground by hosting not one but two concours events side by side. As well as the famous Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance, there will be a new Masters Concours, which aims to celebrate a single marque.
This year, the Masters Concours will celebrate 70 years of Ferrari and promises a stunning display of 70 of the most iconic Ferraris ever made throughout the marque’s history.
Held in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, Salon Privé starts on 31 August, with the new one-day Masters Concours taking place on Saturday, 2 September.
The headline attraction, however, will still be the Concours d’Elégance. Two of the stars of this year’s show will be a 1939 Horch 853A Special Roadster, entered fresh from a four-year restoration, as well as a competition-focused, race-winning 1965 AC 427 Cobra.
Event chairman Andrew Bagley says, ‘Both the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance and Concours Masters "Tribute to 70 Years of Ferrari" are sure to attract significant international entries, ensuring visitors see some very rare models.'
