750 classics turn out for Vintage Stony gathering
More than 750 vehicles turned up to the annual Vintage Stony event, held on New Year’s Day. The event, which happens every year in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, is based in the town centre and is a great way to kick off a classic-filled year.
As always, the event was packed with great metal, including a Fiat 500, a Citroen CX, Triumph GT6 and one or two Porsches. There was also plenty of pre-war classics and vintage motorcycles.
The prize for the car the judges most wanted to take home went to a 1938 ERA ‘GRP1’ E-type race car. While the accolade for oldest vehicle on the day went to a 1987 Leon Bollee Voilurette. The car that drove the furthest to the event was a 1933 Ford two-door sedan – it travelled from Suffolk.
The event, which goes from strength to strength every year, raised £3730 for Willen Hospice.

This 1938 ERA 'GP1' E type race car was the judges' favourite.

A 1897 Leon Bollee Voilurette travelled the furthest to the show.
