How much is my 1966 Toyota Hilux worth?

I have a 1966 Toyota Hilux pickup. The vehicle has a valid MoT until September 2018. The bodywork is in reasonable condition, some dents and scratches but not excessive. It was inspected for the MoT and the inspector informed me that it was in good condition underneath. I have absolutely no idea what the pickup is worth. Would you be kind enough to give me some idea?

Your vehicle could be worth between £3000 and £5000, depending on mileage and condition. As you rightly point out, these cars are few and far between, which makes it hard to value them. Exporters began jumping on Hiluxs a few years ago, buying them cheap in the UK and selling abroad for big profits, which drove prices of older models up. There is currently one on eBay for £15,000 - but whether it will sell for quite that much remains to be seen. At the end of the day, a car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
