Is the Renault Avantime likely to become a classic?

My son has a Renault Avantime in RHD. Apparently you are more likely to see Lord Lucan than one of these. Is it worth storing in case it becomes a more valuable classic?

There are currently 206 Renault Avantime left in the UK, out of 8557 made - so they are definitely an endangered species. Whether or not they'll provide a valuable return on your investment remains to be seen. They are definitely unlike anything that came before (or since) but will they ever spark the level of desire in buyers of, say, an Escort Mexico or an Aston Martin? Perhaps not. That said, there is a supportive owners' club and values do seem to be holding steady. Definitely one to watch.
