Top 10: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017 classic highlights

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is arguably Britain’s greatest outdoor automotive event, with thousands of incredible cars on display and in action. The 2017 event was one of the best yet, with classic Formula One, touring cars and the rally greats in action on the world famous Goodwood Hill, with some of motorsport's biggest names behind the wheel.

1976 McLaren Cosworth M23

The Cosworth years were also celebrated, with nine single seaters in action, including the McLaren Cosworth M23. Despite being introduced in 1973, the DFV-powered M23 Cosworth continued to race even after its successor - the M26 - had been launched in 1976.

As well as giving Emerson Fittipaldi one of his two F1 titles in 1974, the M23 also carried James Hunt to his sole title win in the 1976 season. At Goodwood, Fittipaldi thrilled the capacity crowd by taking driving duties on both Saturday and Sunday.
