Buying Guide

Good

• Plastic fantastic Cycolac open body on a 2CV platform.
• Built at Nanterre, Rennes, Forest in Belgium and Vigo in Spain.
• 602cc flat twin engine.
• 7-speed Mehari 4x4 from 1981.
• Something similar, but Dyane 6 based, built in Greece in the 1970s.

Bad

• Don't have a crash in one.
• Inboard front drum brakes difficult to work on.

Watch

• Chassis rots out and stainless steel replacements are heavier, affecting performance.
