My first car...and I loved it!

At the moment these cars are still considered old worthless rust buckets (and most of them are just that) but prices of higher spec models RS turbos and XR3i's are beginning to rise as they have done with mk 1, 2 and 3 (to ridiculous levels in the case of Mk1 and 2's) Although these probably wont rise as much as they are front wheel drive and dont have the same motorsport credentials as the older marks. That said, at the time of writing this there is a mint RS turbo on auto-trader for £10k

Mine is a 1.3 bonus, my brother gave it to me for free as it needed a new thermostat, me and my dad fixed it and gave it a service in an afternoon and then the little car I call Maggie gave me 5 years of hassle free, fun, very cheap driving.

Parts are also easily accessible and very cheap. The CVH engine is pretty poor though and should be avoided unless low mileage and serviced religiously.
