Unofficial strike called off

Rebel Leyland craftsmen yesterday called off their unofficial two week strike. They were forced to surrender as the dispute collapsed around them. But the militants .remained defiant and promised full support to their leader, Mr Roy Fraser, if the company tried to sack him. . Officials of the engineering union are investigating his activities and could, withdraw his union card. Leyland has hinted that if this happens it will dismiss him.
