BMC appointments

The British Motor Corporation announces the appointment of Mr. H. J. Graves as deputy chairman of the British Motor Corporation (Australia) Pty. with effect from August 1.
Mr. R. L. Abbott is appointed managing director of the British Motor Corporation (Australia) as from June 30 in succession to Mr. Graves, who now retires as an executive of the company on that date, after holding the office for four years. Mr. Graves, who has had 44 years' service with the Austin Motor Company in the United Kingdom, now retires as a local director of that company. Mr Abbott joined the British Motor Corporation (Australia) in July, 1957, in charge of product design.
In November, 1959, he was appointed director of manufacture and in February, 1962. deputy managing director.
