When will my 1976 MG MGB become tax exempt?

When will my 1976 MG MGB, first registered 13 April 1976, become tax exempt?

Classic car tax is now on a rolling 40 year exemption, which updates each April. April 2017 sees all vehicles built prior to 1 January, 1977 eligible for Historic Vehicle car tax. This means all 1976-produced cars such as your MGB can be reclassified. To do this, you'll need to do a bit of form filling.
