Peugeot 205 refuses to tick over
I own a 1984 Peugeot 205, but it refuses to run for more than 30 seconds. I seemed to have checked everything, even had wiring loom apart, but haven't found any faults.
The engine starts every time, but runs for a very short time and petters out of life like its lacking fuel. Can you help?

There's a brass screw on the inlet manifold that adjusts this. It always was critical on the 205 1.6 105, even when the cars were new.
