Plymouth Belvedere Limousine

We love a car with a story - and if this one could talk it would have some tales to tell, having previously been used to chauffeur the likes of Her Majesty the Queen, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon. Originally imported into Belgium from its native USA, the unrestored Plymouth Belvedere eight-seater was then shipped to Ireland as a CKD kit and reassembled by the local Rootes dealer, Summerfields, in Co. Offaly. There it passed into the hands of the Earl of Ross at Birr Castle, as his official chauffeur vehicle. When it was reconstructed in Ireland, the coachbuilders engraved small shamrocks into the glass, which are still there.
