Rover SD1 2600

Every so often, Tatton throws up a real hidden gem, and for us this six-cylnder SD1 was the uncelebrated star of the show. Finished in Richlieu Red, one of the best Mk1 colours, it was completely unrestored, with some minor rust bubbles and paint peel and a slightly down-at-heel interior. But these, along with the original ‘Heron Motor Group’ dealer stickers and period radio-cassette made it wonderful – a car that needs to preserved exactly as is, and never over-restored.
