Goodwood Revival: Friday gallery
More than 150,000 people have travelled to Goodwood Circuit this weekend to enjoy another historic Revival. This year’s event is being heralded as one of the best yet, with tributes to some of the sport's most iconic legends, including the career of Jim Clark, the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40 and 100 years of Aston Martin.
Here are some of our Friday highlights from the Revival.
Ecurie Ecosse celebrated its history by displaying its famous transporter, complete with a Sebring Sprite 1413 WD and a Cooper Monaco DS 288. Built in 1960, by Scottish coachbuilder Alexander, the transporter is based on a Commer truck and powered by a TS3 engine. Ecurie Ecosse sold the iconic carrier in the 1970s and it passed through many hands until it was rediscovered in the late 1980s in a scrap yard. Ecurie Ecosse saved the vehicle and commissioned Lynx to carry out a full restoration.
