Mini minter

My wife has decided to cease driving for health reasons and reluctantly must part with her 1986 Mini that has been with her for almost all of the past 24 years. The car is garaged, very low mileage, gold painted Piccadilly model 998cc and in generally quite nice appearance and good mechanical condition. I am told it could be sold as a classic car and be worth a decent sum. Any ideas as to how I might get an idea of its value and where it could be sold. Many thanks for any help you can give.

Auction. Either www.barons-auctions.com (the site gives values achieved at auction) and www.historics.co.uk Barons auctions are at Sandown Park, Esher and Historics at Brooklands, Weybridge. Both employ the same famous classic car auctioneer: Fabian Hines.
