Austin Seven - Bringing a car in from USA

I am considering repatriating a 1930's Austin Seven from Nevada(!)

Any ideas on how to avoid being ripped off? How to pay?

Does the advertiser have title to the car?

Does it exist?

Reliable shipper to collect from owner & deliver to UK Docks?

Car is not driveable, but is complete (& has some spares) it is moveable on its wheels. Owner is a bit "cagey" & the photos fuzzy...Caveat emptor!

Anyone know someone in Nevada who could look at the car ? My nearest mates are in deepest Southern California (ok, not so expensive to fly up, but a local would be simpler perhaps)
