Introduction
The four-cylinder Porsche briefly reappeared in 1975 as the 912E. This time, it was fitted with a 2.0-litre (as opposed to a 1.6-litre for the orginal 912) VW engine. Sold only in the US, this filled the gap between the outgoing 914-4 and Porsche’s new 924.
