A true Daytona rival, but at a more realistic price
Not as fast as its rival from Maranello

The Maserati Ghibli represented the absolute pinnacle of its maker's range at the turn of the 1970s. And not only was it a suitably fitting replacement for the Sebring, but it was a very capable Ferrari Daytona and Lamborghini Islero rival.

The Ghibli emergeda as one of the era's finest GT cars. Subsequently overshadowed by the Daytona and Miura, the Ghibli combined Giorgetto Giugiaro’s styling (while he was still at Ghia) with Maserati’s muscle to create a genuine 170mph road burner in 4.9-litre SS form.
