Ferrari F355 Spider, F355 GTS with targa style roof and F355 Challenge models introduced. F355 Challenge was a rich people'd race series with the cars specially prepared for track use with a factory supplied kit of rollcage, racing seats, safety harnesses, fire extinguisher, engine cutoff switch, manual radiator fan, pgraded fans, competition steering wheel, lightweight exhaust, rear wing, competition clutch, 14-inch Brembo brakes, 18-inch Speedline mag wheels, Pirelli racing slicks, solid suspension bushings, competiton springs, front and rerar brake cooling ducts, Challenge black rear grill (for better cooling), lightened front bumper, front and rear towing eyes.

3,717 F355 Spiders built; 2,664 6-speed manual, 1,053 F1.

1999:

Final edition F355 Fiorano launched. Fiorano suspension pack, drilled and vented brake discs, competition steering rack, Challenge rear grilles,carnon fibre inserst, suede covered steering wheel.
