ENGINEERS STRIKE
For British Leyland. the anti-strike revolt grew at Castle Bromwich (Birmingham) as about 3,000 workers crossed picket lines. But 12 Jaguar-Rover-Triumph factories and four Austin Morris works closed as nearly 50,000 obeyed strike instructions.
