THE GUARDIAN
Production of the Rover 2000 at Solihull resumed yesterday after being halted for nearly a week by two strikes at a firm supplying parts.
Sixteen internal drivers and 40 polishers at Wilmot Breeden, the Birmingham components firm, called off their pay strikes at the weekend and 3,000 laid-off workers – 1,000 at Wilmot Breeden and the rest at Rover – were recalled yesterday.
