Is this finance organisation trying to scam me or helping to sell my Morris 1000?
I have just put my 1971 Morris 1000 Traveller on Autotrader to sell and I had a phone call from some finance organisation, saying that for an upfront charge of £99.50 they will ensure I get the full asking price from one of their customers and that if they take up the finance, I will have my money refunded. Have you heard of this and is it a scam?

Yes. A very old scam. Like the one where they promise you that they have a list of buyers lined up for your once-only fee of £99. You pay and you never hear anything from anyone. Sell via the Morris Minor Club (www.mmoc.org.uk), or via auction (www.historics.co.uk), or via the free ads at www.classiccarweekly.co.uk.
