March 1998

Power upped to 130bhp in 1998.

May 2000

Replaced by 156bhp 3.0 four cylinder engine in swb and lwb bodies in May 2000.

LWB is 16' 5 ins long, 6 ft 4 ins wide with kerb weight 2,335 and maximum towing weight of 3,500kg.

January 2003

New cut price long wheelbase 7 seater GR S at £24,000. Full size 5,010mm x 2,090mm 7 seater weighing 2,335kg and capable of towing 3,500kg. Power comes from a 3.0 litre direct injected turbodiesel which pumps out 156bhp and 354Nm (261lb ft) torque at 2,000rpm.

ABS, rear diff lock, selectable high and low ratio four wheel drive, free wheeling front hubs with manual lock and switchable rear stabiliser bar for increased wheel travel are all standard. So are air conditionaing and a single CD player. It even has a wading capability of 700mm (27.6"). You don't get alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers or body coloured wheelarch extensions.

New SVE model replaces last 2002 SE, comes with foglights, leather seats, sunroof, 16" alloy wheels and 6 CD autochanger for £28,395 as a manual or £29,795 as an auto.

January 2005

Facelift for 2005 now with 160bhp and Birdview satnav in top 7 seater versions. 5 seater S with CD, a/c and electric mirrors now starts at £24,500. All have 3.5 tonne towing capacity.
