CarFest South In Pictures
Over the bank holiday weekend, petrolheads gathered at Laverstoke Farm in Hampshire for this year's CarFest South - Chris Evans' celebration of cars, food and music.
It's a great family weekend out, essentially essentially one huge playground, with chances to learn about cars, food, animals and much more. There's a raft of top-quality music acts which take to the stage once the track action has stopped (at around 4pm). This year you could see Toploader, the Kaiser Chiefs, Texas, Bellowhead, 10CC and Jamie Cullum among many others. With air displays, the most incredible array of culinary delights, workshops and even a circus, it’s easy to see why Carfest South sold out weeks before the event took place.
Next year it’ll be even bigger and better, and it’ll raise even more money for BBC Children in Need (this year around £1.5m was raised by Carfest North and Carfest South). So if you like music, food and cars you’d better prepare to book your place now – and even more so if you’ve got kids to take along.
