I'm a regular customer and found PCS through a Mercedes club forum and recommendations. They're always helpful and knowledgeable, which helps to keep the labour charges down, as they don't spend ages working out what the problem is. It really does make a difference to costs. I'm surprised at the negative review posted here. It actually prompted me to write a review as it sounds so unlike PCS. My only criticism of PCS is that, because of recommendations, they are much more busy than when I first went there, the secrets out!

I have been using this garage for about 4 years. They have inspired confidence, since my first contact, in a way that no previous garage has done. Highly recommended!

"Prestige treatment for cars and customers."

Following a main dealership service of my Mercedes A-class, I was informed that my front brake discs needed replacing and this was shown as a "red alert" on my service sheet, needing urgent attention. As I couldn't afford it right then, I asked the main dealer to leave the work for another day which I felt confident in doing as no warning light had yet come on. Thankfully a local chap told me about Prestige, and I requested a quote from them for the work on the brakes - £218 compared to £367.90 at the main dealership, so I booked my car in for the following Saturday morning. The mechanic came out to see me and asked me to confirm that it was the front brakes requiring work, so I showed him the report from the main dealer which clearly reads "discs below min. thickness and rusty pads and discs. Pads worn to approx. 50%". He asked me to go into the workshop with him, and showed me my brakes against the new parts which he had ordered for me, and I was stunned to see that the wear was only around 20% and the pads were not at all rusty. He said that was obviously the reason why no warning light had come on - it only comes on if the brakes are worn by 75% - and in his opinion it was completely unnecessary to change the discs or pads. (The pads had actually been changed last November by the main dealership in question) He adjusted my parking brake (£67.20 on the dealership quote) and checked my rear suspension which the dealership said was rusting, and showed me it was in fact absolutely fine. My car was in the workshop for an hour, and my total bill was £30. As far as I am concerned, Mercedes have now seen the last of me as a customer. Prestige, however, now have me for life, having saved me a total of £404.10 on the dealership quote for the brakes alone. As a middle-aged blonde self-confessed car-phobic I am an obvious target for such rip-offs, and it was wonderful to be treated like the intelligent person I actually am (apart from anything mechanical!!) I cannot thank them enough. They make a smashing mug of tea too!!
