Kwik Fit, Wakefield

I had replaced the track rod ends on my van so took it to Kwik-Fit, Wakefield for the wheel alignment to be done on their expensive machine. After the mechanic had finished I asked him if it was now all straight and he said it was perfect. I drove out of the city and found the van all over the place as I went home. On the way and short of time, I called at a local garage who checked it for me. The alignment was so far out they were amazed it was still handling at all! They adjusted it to the correct position and tolerances and it drove absolutely perfectly. The wheel alignment was out by 8mm which is a huge amount and totally unacceptable. I contacted Kwik-Fit with my complaint and they were not interested at all, said it was okay and they had done it properly. I escalated it to their customer services who were just as poor. These clowns are cowboys and I wouldn't trust them with a simple puncture. Avoid this place!

Had troubles with car after Full service and MOT and after writing to company had a phone call from Area Manager, who started the ball rolling with visits by local staff. And because it couldn't be repaired on my drive a tow truck took it to the local depot, repaired it and returned it with a message of no charge. I will add that during this time I had gone into hospital to have the other knee replaced and when I could drive it was my lifesaver and they realised that. Thank You Kwik Fit.
