Alfa Romeo Giulietta's 60th birthday marked in Stuttgart
Alfa Romeo's birthdays were celebrated at the Retroclassics show in Stuttgart. In 1954, the Giulietta was launched, and to mark the occasion, there will be a display of various cars to wear the name plate on the Alfa Romeo stand at the show.
The first model series designed for large-series production from the Italian car manufacturer Società Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili – in brief: A.L.F.A.. – was a sales hit from the very start. In Germany, it was affectionately named "Julchen" by German-speaking owners, and the Giulietta was soon being produced in versions.
At Retroclassics 2014, several examples will be on show, representing the long success story of the model (Porsche Hall/Hall 4, Stand B12). Visitors will see a Giulietta Sprint from 1959, a Giulietta Sprint Veloce from 1961, a Giulietta Turbodelta (above and below) from 1983 and a brand-new Giulietta MY 2014.
