Porsches out in force at Beaulieu
A total of 610 Porsches made the trip to Hampshire at the weekend for the National Motor Museum’s Simply Porsche event.
More than 1000 visitors were able to see a wide range of the iconic German sports cars, including early examples of the 356.
Celebrated models such as the 911 Turbo and V8-powered 928 were on display at Beaulieu alongside more recent offerings like the Boxster, 997 GT2 and Panamera.
Held in association with The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts’ Club, the show also featured a host of trade stands.

People's Choice winner Richard Gill and son, Lewis, with Beaulieu MD Russell Bowman
Winner of the People’s Choice award was Richard Gill, from Newark, with his stunning 1990 911. Richard, who bought the car in 2014, had it rebuilt to his dream specification, sourcing parts from as far afield as Canada and Germany.
This was the first show the car had been to following its rebuild, with only a faulty starter motor causing trouble on the day.
John and Janelle Hughes took second place in the visitors’ vote with their immaculate, left-hand drive 914, finished in an eye-catching shade of yellow.
Third place went to Greg Freeman, who travelled down to Beaulieu from London in his bright red 944S, which has been in his family since it was new.
