A car with real depth of engineering, properly made

This is a very good car indeed. It is beautifully made, drives well and is easy to live with. Six months ago, I nearly parted with mine but couldn't find a buyer, so just laid the vehicle up. Today I came back to her, turned the key and she started on the button. Despite being 18 years old, and over 180,000 miles on the clock, there are no rattles, she still drives tight and when I put her up on the ramp to look underneath... no rust save for some surface corrosion in places. I'm glad I didn't let her go - sure, some service work is now required, but the sheer quality of construction alone is enough to convince me to keep her. The fact that she's a lovely drive, looks good, is comfortable and quiet... well, I guess they're the icing on the cake. One of Mercedes' great cars.
