BMW to showcase heritage at Stuttgart
Published 23 January 2019
BMW will showcase its classic racing heritage at this year’s Retro Classics. Taking over an entire hall for the first time in the Stuttgart show’s history, the German carmaker will have a host of ex-motorsport cars on display.
Visitors will be able to see the Formula One BMW Benetton B186 from 1986, the Williams-BMW V10 from Ralf Schuhmacher from the year 2000 and the 1999 winning car from Le Mans, the BMW V12 LMR.
There will also be historic pre-war models such as a BMW 328 from 1937. Also on show will be the recently rediscovered 1934 "Stösser" - a KR6 supercharged car and BMW’s first race car.
