How much would it really cost to buy Jay Kay’s Porsche Carrera RS?
Ever wondered how much it could cost you to own a celebrity supercar? Well, wonder no more because a high-end vehicle finance company has put together a quote that illustrates how some people afford to live the good life.
London-based JBR Capital reckons it would cost roughly £8.5k a month to get your hands on Jay Kay’s Carrera RS. The Jamiroquai singer’s 1973 Porsche 911, which is going under the hammer at Bonhams Bond Street sale next month, is expected to go for £800,000.
If you can put down a 20% deposit of £160,000 then you’re looking at 48 monthly payments of £8481.18 and a final balloon payment of £400,000 to get behind the wheel of the 2.7-litre ‘Lightweight’ Coupe. That's a representative APR or 7.9% on a mileage limit of 20k, according to JBR Capital.
Now JBR is heading to Bonhams' Bond Street Sale on December 7. A spokesman said, 'JBR will be on hand and on site to give expert car finance advice – and in particular to advise on our auction finance product – a service which enables customers to secure pre-approved finance, with the funds available immediately after a successful bid.' JBR will also be at select Bonhams sales throughout 2020.
