Seinfeld collection fetches £15 million at auction
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld sold 17 cars at auction for more than £15 million. The collection of classics, mainly Porsches, went under the hammer at the Amelia Island sale on 13 March.
Cars sold from the Seinfeld collection included a 1959 Porsche 718RSK (£2 million), a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 (£1.6 million), and a 1990 Porsche 926C (£1.16 million).
But none of the US television’s star’s cars could beat the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, which fetched £12 million (pictured below).
Other notable Ferraris which commanded strong bidding were the 1995 Ferrari F50 (sold for £1.6 million) and the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet (sold for £1 million).

And a handsome 1931 Duesenberg Model J Disappearing-Top Convertible Coupe crossed the block with a final price of £1.8 million.
