rocket sled on rails. bags of fun

fast go cart handling. great fun in the early form.

Good points. easy to fix, good fuel economy, future investment and classic insurance. AW11a short bumper models have better T-Vis set up before 1986.. fast and fun. great driver feedback, a real drivers car

Bad. early cars can jump out of 5th gear when pushed hard. post 86 cars affected less. later cars has full body kits that can hide tin worm. check under side skirts and front valance, wheel archs can rot away on rear due to foam backing. these cars can bite back if pushed hard and rear ends can overtake you if you try to tame these cars. some skill required when driving hard.

summary. not as quick as the mark 2 but much more fun. fantastic feel and lack of technology make it a real drivers car. mark 3 feels similar but the mark 1 has a surprising amount of luggage space between the 2 storage areas. by far the best MR2 in my opinion esp in the pre 1986 setup
