Utterly reliable with a bombproof engine

I owned my Tipo for 4 years from 1995 to 1999. It was nearly new with 6000 miles on the clock and by the time I finished with it it had 87000. A bargain when it was purchased, and for a 1.4 engine it was reasonably quick and roomy inside/comfortable on longer journeys. It coped with regular trips to and from the West Midlands to North Wales (300 miles per journey) plus regular 40 mile a day communtes to work. It never needed any major repairs just the usual wear and tear items any car needs in its life plus servicing.

It was unexpectdly more responsive and fun to drive than I ever expected it to be and was great on winding A roads.

Not the best looking car in the world, but not the worst by any means. As the main review says, the bodyworks should not rot if it hasn't been badly repaired as the bodywork is fully galvanised. If you can get a good used one that hasn't been abused it'll still serve you well.
