Laser’s mini jump starter is packed full of power

Published 28 January 2016

Despite its compact size, this new mini jump starter from Laser Tools packs a big punch. And as well as being able to deliver enough power to help get your motor running, it’s also got some clever features.

There's a bright LED to illuminate your work area, probes to check the dead battery's state of charge, a 12 volt DC output socket, two five volt USB outputs (if you need to charge your mobile phone), and a digital voltage display.

This Mini Jump Start is charged with a 240 volt-12 volt charger unit for the home or workshop, plus a 12 volt DC charging adaptor is also supplied so you can charge it from your car’s cigarette lighter.

It’s also safe to keep your Mini Jump Start on charge 24 hours a day and 365 days a year if you need to. The charging port in the control panel has an automatic sensor and will sense when the Mini Jump Start is charged and then shut itself down automatically - so it inever overcharges.

And while the unit may be on the compact side, it’s got enough power to turn over a 6.5-litre petrol engine or a 3.0-litre diesel.
