Mitsubishi fans gather for Model A centenary
Classic Mitsubishi enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the manufacturer’s first car. They were joined by Car SOS’s Fuzz Townshend and Tim Shaw at the centenary celebrations for the Model A.
Taking place on Saturday, 30 September, Mitsubishi Motors’ Centenary Tour saw the television celebrities flag away 50 classic Mitsubishis from the brand’s UK HQ in Cirencester before drivers weaved their way through the picturesque Cotswolds to the finish at Shelsley Walsh hill climb.
Mitsubishis from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s were all represented on the 90-mile Centenary Tour. Vehicles included early Lancer, Sapporo, Sigma, Celeste, and Colt models right through to the Shogun, L200 and Evo.
Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi Motors UK managing director, who completed the tour in the heritage fleet’s wide-body Mitsubishi Starion, said, ‘It was an outstanding day and we were delighted that we could share our 100-year anniversary celebrations with some of the brand’s most dedicated fans.’
