TVR to unveil new car at Goodwood Revival

Published 05 June 2017

British sports car maker TVR will finally unveil its new car at this year’s Goodwood Revival in September.

Created in conjunction with Gordon Murray Design, the new car tips the scales at 1200kg and promises 200mph and a 0-60mph time of less than four seconds from its 5.0-litre Cosworth-developed V8.

The new TVR will go on display in the 'Earls Court’ building at the Revival, which takes place this year over the weekend of 8-10 September. Also on display will be a selection of heritage TVRs to celebrate the marque’s 70th anniversary.

Les Edgar, TVR chairman, said, ‘It’s the first time a global launch of a new car has occurred at the event, and it seems an entirely appropriate place for us to do it, with the marque’s motorsport heritage and an enthusiastic audience of dedicated car fans – and in our 70th anniversary year.’

A spokesman added that TVR has held back a small allocation of the 500 Launch Edition cars for the public unveiling, so will soon close the order book, before re-opening it on the 8 September.
