Classic Fords set to raise money for children’s charity
Classic Fords will be out in force this weekend to raise money for charity. The North Wales Classic Fords Snowdonia Run takes place 20-21 August and raises money for a children’s hospice.
The event, which is now in its seventh year, sees 100 Fords take on the 100-mile route. Cars already booked in include Escorts, Cortinas, Capris and even a Mustang. It’s all in aid of Hope House Children’s Hospice, near Oswestry. To date, the club has raised £31,000 for the charity.
The event is being sponsored by Lancaster Insurance, which will also make a donation to the cause. Richard Morley, operations director, said, ‘It’s great to be supporting an event which involves such a range of iconic and much loved Fords. Driving the famous Snowdon Run in convoy will be fantastic for all involved and the fact it’s all for a good cause makes it particularly special!”
