MG fans set new world record
Published 13 April 2015
Car enthusiasts have set a new world record for the largest parade of MG classic cars.
In total, 144 MGs gathered at Rockingham circuit in Corby, Northamptonshire, on Sunday, 11 April.
Organised by Lancaster Insurance, the parade took place on the Rockingham oval with an official Guinness World Records adjudicator on-hand to confirm the new record.
Richard Morley, Lancaster Insurance’s operations director, said, ‘We’re immensely proud to have set a brand new Guinness World Records title with the help of MG enthusiasts from all over the country.
‘This would not have been possible without the support of the MG community. We are thrilled to have created a piece of history as a group.’
