Quentin Willson and Jodie Kidd to host new classic car show on Channel 5 in February
A new television programme about classic cars hosted by motoring journalist Quentin Wilson and supermodel Jodie Kidd will be aired in February.
Called The Classic Car Show, it aims to capture the passion and the glamour of classic cars and will be shown at 7pm on Thursday, 5 February.
Over a series of 13 one-hour episodes, The Classic Car Show will turn the spotlight on the most prestigious historic cars with A-list contributions from the likes of actor Steve Coogan and comedian Jennifer Saunders, to model David Gandy, rap superstar Tinie Tempah, racer Bruno Senna and racing legend Sir Stirling Moss.
Features include Quentin Willson celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang in California, Jodie Kidd driving a Jaguar XK120 at the Mille Miglia rally in Italy and resident racer Bruno Senna putting ten classics through their paces on the track at the legendary Brooklands circuit.
As well as stars in cars with seven-figure price tags, The Classic Car Show will show you how to feel like a million dollars for under £5000. Face of 4Music, Will Best, will show that motorsport isn’t just for the well-heeled, when he tries low-cost high-fun classic car sprints. And Quentin Willson will show us the classics to buy now before their values go stratospheric.
Presented from an underground studio at the Brooklands racing circuit in Weybridge, Surrey, The Classic Car Show says it isn’t just for those who can tell a Ferrari 250 GTO from a 275 GTB, ‘but for the whole family, encompassing humour, attitude and charm.’
