Car SOS star Fuzz Townshend to help find future car industry stars
Car SOS presenter and professional classic car restorer Fuzz Townshend is on a mission to help find the future stars of the car industry. He’ll be taking part in a judging panel to find the best ‘young innovator’ in Coventry.
Children at Coventry-based schools have been tasked to design the pace car for next year’s Coventry MotoFest event and Fuzz is part of the judging panel that will eventually pick the winning design.
And the winner will see their design converted into reality by the team at Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations.
Encouraging a generation of future car engineers is a subject that Fuzz is passionate about. ‘I did my apprenticeship at the local bus company, and believe that it is our job to encourage future generations to keep the automotive industry alive and fresh with ideas,’ said Fuzz.
‘I am delighted to have been asked to be on the judging panel for an initiative which involves young children’s creativity and turns it into styling, engineering and manufacturing processes.’
The winner of the competition will be announced tonight, Wednesday, 17 December.
