Jaguar shows off heritage fashion collection at Paris show
Jaguar launched its new heritage-inspired fashion collection at this year’s Paris motor show – a range of branded goods celebrating the 60th anniversary of its iconic D-type.
The range celebrates Jaguar’s most successful period at Le Mans and uses the winning number three ‘Eurie Ecosse’ car from 1957 as inspiration.
Ian Callum, director of design at Jaguar, said, ‘Occasionally it’s great fun to celebrate the past, especially something as momentous as a winning Ecurie Ecosse D-Type.
‘The collection is distinguished by the blue flag and draws on signature cues from the winning car.’
Taking pride of place in the new collection is the ‘Heritage ’57’ brown leather jacket, which features an embossed ‘heritage’ lozenge and the ‘No.3’ motif of the sleeve.
There’s also a leather holdall, which features buckle detail based on the D-types bonnet straps, and a 1:8th scale model – the latter took 300 hours to produce and matches every detail of the winning car.
The full range, including prices, will be launched in November. In the meantime, visit www.jaguar.co.uk/shop for more information.
