Rush film releases third trailer

Published 19 July 2013

Rush, the Hollywood rendering of one of Formula 1's most drama-filled driver duels, is set to hit the cinemas at the end of September, and to build up the fans' anticipation, Universal has released a trailer. The film is produced by Ron Howard and tells the story of the 1976 season, where Niki Lauda and James Hunt took the world driver's championship down to the wire.

The film, which examines the contrast in characters between playboy Hunt, and calculating Lauda revisits the horrific crash at the Nurburgring that almost cost the Austrian driver his life, and changed the face of the sport forever. This trailer focuses on James Hunt, the driver who bedded 'thousands' of women, while leading McLaren's charge to the championship over the far better funded Ferrari team.

Enjoy the trailer below and be sure to check out the previous clips signposted at the end of the trailer. Rush hits theatres on 27 September.
