Wheeler Dealers to drive Peking to Paris in 1916 Cadillac
As well as an all-new series of 14 episodes of Wheeler Dealers, Mike Brewer and Edd China plan to take part in the 2016 Peking to Paris rally in a completely open 1916 Cadillac.
Working from the Wheeler Dealers shop in California, the duo will buy and restore nine American cars and five European cars, all sourced in the USA.
The Cadillac, actually found near Stoke on Trent in the UK is currently in bits, but Mike and Edd are confident that its slow revving V8 engine (the first V8 in the Wordl) will get them through the 9,000 miles of terrain, including the extremely inhospitable Mongolain desert.
The new series airs on Discovery Channel in the UK from early next year and the Peking to Paris adventure will be shown in the autumn.
After the demise of Top Gear, with a global audience of 200,000,000, Wheeler Dealers is now the biggest car show in the world, closely followed by Fast 'n' Loud.
Mike and Edd are currently hosting The Lancaster Classic Car Show at the NEC today, Saturday and Sunday.
We're there too, handing out HonestJohn Classic bags from the HonestJohn stand in Hall 2.
Hope to see you there.
