Forgotten classics set for Beaulieu

Published 22 January 2020

This year's Forgotten Favourites display at Beaulieu will celebrate once-common classics of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The exhbition will take place at the International Autojumble over the weekend of 5-6 September.

Bringing back memories of family holidays, driving lessons, baking hot vinyl seats and beige colour schemes will be the long-lost first cars, family wagons, rarely-seen saloons and historic hatchbacks that are invited to join the nostalgia-fuelled display.

Honouring the everyday cars that have disappeared from Britain’s roads and are now highly prized by enthusiasts, all manner of pre-booked classics from 1960-1990 are invited to join Forgotten Favourites at the event in the grounds of the National Motor Museum.

Owners who would like to take part with their 1960-1990 classic vehicles should get in touch with the Beaulieu events team to be considered – places are limited and show entry is free for vehicles that are accepted. Successful owners will receive a pair of three-day entry wristbands for International Autojumble, an unmissable date on the classic car calendar to find rare parts and automobilia bargains on more than 2000 stands.

For event-goers, modern classics are sure to be well represented – especially with the Austin Metro and Fiat Panda both reaching their 40th birthdays in 2020. These pint-sized hatchbacks are welcome to drive into the diverse display.

From the Vauxhall Chevette, Renault 16, Austin Allegro and Datsun Bluebird, to the Volkswagen Polo, Citroen CX, Triumph Toledo and Volvo 240, not to mention the scarcely-seen DAF 66, Talbot Samba and Fiat 131 . . . all examples are welcome. To apply to take part in Forgotten Favourites see www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/international-autojumble or call 01590 614614 for details.

International Autojumble, which recently marked its half century, also features Automart with an impressive selection of up to 200 classic cars for sale and Dealermart with top condition classics from traders. Bonhams auction of collectors’ cars, motorcycles and automobilia will also return on the Saturday, while on Sunday Trunk Traders offers the chance to find bargains as enthusiasts sell assorted motoring jumble from their car boots.

Early one-day and two-day visitor tickets are available, with a limited number of premium tickets giving entry to the showground an hour before the event opens to the public, as well as priority parking. Tickets can be bought in advance online, with discounts for those bought by 5pm on August 27th.

Hi everyone, I want to share my thoughts on my experience with melbetbd.in . In addition to a variety of sports betting, there is a very good casino, which I liked very much. Here you can raise money quite well. Extensive selection of games, generous prizes, as well as attractive bonuses designed for beginners. I recommend this site .
