Vintage mobile cinema heads to MGLive!
A vintage mobile cinema will be at this year’s MGLive! event in June – giving people a chance to enjoy a host of films showcasing the marques rich history.
The converted bus was one of seven built by the Ministry of Technology in 1967. It was designed to promote British industry as a global leader and would visit factories to show films about modernisation.
Based on a Bedford SB3, the 22-seat cinema has a plastic Perspex bubble at the front that houses the projector. All films are shown on a high-definition digital projector, complete with Dolby 7:1 surround sound.
The cinema will be showing a selection of MG-related films, including original promotional movies from the 1920s and 1930s, through to films from the 1960s and 1970s when the MGB and Midget ruled the roads, right up to the most modern incarnations of the marque.

Organised by the MG Car Club, MGLive! sees thousands of die-hard MG enthusiasts from across the globe descent on the home of British motorsport for a weekend-long celebration of all things MG on 4-5 June.
Tickets for MGLive! start from £18 for a member’s day ticket, while a weekend ticket can be had for £28. Visit www.mglive.co.uk to book your tickets now.
